The 10 Strangest Stories of 2010
Next time you go to the bookie, take your octopus.   (AP)

There were a lot of strange stories in 2010. The DAFTA Awards give a little recognition to the world's odd events. Here are the winners:

  • The Penis Tattoo (Crazy Crime)—A man wanted to get a yin - yang tattoo. His former friend and tattoo artist decided that a footlong penis tattoo would look a lot better. And charged him for it.
  • Paul the Octopus (Animal Tale)—The World Cup's oracle octopus went all the way; his work done, he died not long after. Hope he saw that coming.

  • Shortest Man for the Shortest Time (Record Breaker)—Edward Nino Hernandez stands just 27 inches tall. But his diminutive stature only gained him worldwide recognition for a month, when he was out-shorted by Khagendra Thapa Maga.
  • Spray-On Clothes (Best Funny Product)—With waistlines expanding across the country, spray-on clothes seems like a terrible idea. Not so, said the DAFTAS.
