Sarah Palin: 'Refudiate' Was Just Sloppy Typing

Former governor attempts to explain famous gaffe

(Newser) – Sarah Palin used her TLC soapbox last night to repudiate, er, refute, er, whatever, that whole refudiate ruckus, explaining that it was a mere typo. "I pressed an F instead of a P and people freaked out," Palin said. "Make lemonade out of lemons." Critics, however, aren't buying, reports the Huffington Post: Palin used the term on a Fox News appearance before the fateful tweet, and the "F" and "P" are not near one another on any standard keyboard.

As a Team Sarah member, it never ceases to amaze me how critics choose to make hash about Sarah Palin's typical human mistakes, and conveniently ignore things like Obama's talking from the podium about the 57 States of the U.S. I've said it before and I'll say it again: if she was a liberal, people wouldn't be making hash out of every word she types wrong on the keyboard. But because she's a conservative, some people will stretch and strain to rail against anything about her, even if she forgets to pick up her cell phone before getting in the car and has to go back and get it. These critics would call her stupid just for that because it would suit their liberal power-grabbing agenda at all costs to truth and justice in this country.

don't pitbulls have a propensity to bite children in the face, shouldn't the owners be executed as well?

Why would you take credit for it during speaking engagements and compare yourself to Shakespeare because he made up words, too, if you just fat-fingered, and I mean really fat-fingered across the keyboard, a word? C'mon, really? And then people defend her? Everyone, including her followers, should have had a good laugh when she did this and move on, but she perpetuates the story herself, and thus brings the deserved ridicule.
