(Newser) – Discovery Channel will deepen its involvement with the supernatural in a new series called the Exorcist Files—with the unusual twist that the Vatican is helping out, Entertainment Weekly reports. The network will recreate investigations of demonic possessions and hauntings conducted by the Catholic Church, which is opening its files and allowing its exorcists to be interviewed.

"We explained we’re not going to try to tell people what to think," says Discovery's president. "The work these folks do, and their conviction in their beliefs, make for fascinating stories." If all goes well, the network would eventually tag along with Vatican investigators on live cases. The series is expected to debut in the spring. I'd watch it at least once as long as they don't play the same clip every two min until the end where they state they never really did find anything out for sure.

It could be very interesting and educational, way above Palin's head, so I think I will watch it, so should you, then we could really have a "discussion" on Newser!!
