Dennis Dixon's Heisman chances are looking better than ever after his four touchdown passes vaulted the Oregon Ducks over the undefeated Arizona State Sun Devils, 35-23. Dixon left with a knee injury late in the game, but by that point the Ducks' domination was complete, reports AP. "Oregon definitely put themselves in the driver's seat in the Pac-10," said one Sun Devil.

ASU, now sharing an 8-1 record with Oregon, can still hold on to hopes for a BCS slot, though not if quarterback Rudy Carpenter again finds himself sacked eight times in a game. The effectiveness of the Ducks' defense was something of a surprise in this matchup of the Pac-10's best offense (Oregon) against its best defense (ASU).
