As the search for his missing daughter entered its sixth month yesterday, Gerry McCann expressed his anguish in his internet diary: “It is so painful for us simply being separated, but all the more distressing when we have to speculate about the situation Madeleine finds herself [in]." Seeking to keep the search alive, the McCanns released new photos of Maddy, the Times of London reports.

The McCanns are still considered suspects by the Portuguese police, but the family says their daughter is likely in Spain, Portugal, or North Africa, based on reports of sightings there. A Portuguese teacher is said to have told police she saw the girl at Barcelona airport shortly after her disappearance. Senior investigators, however, say the girl is most likely dead.
