Amber Alerts Now on Facebook, Too

Facebook has joined the Amber Alert program, CNET reports. In Facebook's version, you opt-in to get missing-child alerts for your state or other states you designate. To get them in your news feed, go to Facebook's Amber Alert page, choose your state, and click the Like button. "It doesn't get priority over other feeds," says a Facebook employee. "The hope is it will be so important that people will share it immediately and it will see a full viral effect." (More Facebook stories.)
