Wizard Hits Broadway in the Buff

Posted Nov 5, 07 7:44 PM CST in Arts & Living

(Newser) Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe will hit the Great White Way when Equus opens in New York next year. Radcliffe appeared in the 8-week London run of Peter Schaffer's play this year, garnering attention for showing his wand and quaffles in a nude scene. "I'm obviously nervous but I'm very very excited," said Radcliffe.

"For a kid who grew up listening to showbiz tunes in the car, Broadway is a big, big thing," the 18-year-old told the BBC. Radcliffe was quick to praise his more experienced co-stars, including Richard Griffiths, saying, "If I screw up I'm going to be screwing up with better people around me."
