A 10-year-old Italian boy may be in his 30s before his parents let him have his Sony PSP back. The boy, engrossed in the portable gaming device, walked off the platform of a busy subway station and tumbled to the tracks. His life was saved by an off-duty policeman who jumped down and scooped him to safety seconds before a train arrived, the Daily Mail reports.

"It was only after I heard the other passengers clapping and cheering that I stopped and thought about what I had done and my heart was in my throat," the officer said. "I just reacted with instinct—I saw him go over and he was lying on the track so I jumped down, grabbed him and carried him to the platform. He was crying and shocked, but other than that he was OK."
