Waterlogged Australia Gets Another Downpour

(User Submitted) – Just when you thought it couldn't possibly get any wetter, Australia has been hit once again by floods, this time in southern state of Victoria. Australia's ABC reports that large areas of the state, including the capital, Melbourne, were pounded with over 4 inches of rain brought on by a series of storms, causing widespread flash flooding.

The entire eastern seaboard has been mopping up after devastating floods and Category 5 Cyclone Yasi hammered the state of Queensland, and weather officials believe there is more to come. Victoria is expecting another 6 inches of rain in the next day or so and the current La Niña pattern is expected to linger for months, according to the Courier-Mail. Read the full article.
