What better way to tell someone you love them than with a bomb threat? A Chilean woman has confessed to phoning in a false bomb threat to an airport in a desperate attempt to prevent her boyfriend from leaving the country for a long stint working as a waiter on a cruise ship, the AP reports. "I'm sorry, but I did it for love," the woman, who faces up to 61 days in jail, told authorities. "It wasn't the best thing to do, but at least he's here,"

The threat caused the evacuation of a plane with more than 300 passengers aboard, although authorities have been fairly forgiving: prosecutors decide not to charge her under anti-terror laws after hearing the story of the couple, who have been together eight years and have three children. Her boyfriend, meanwhile, has decided to stay in Chile after all. "I can't be angry, I have to support her. What she needs is love, nothing more," he told reporters.
