Donald Trump made the most of his surprise invitation to address the Republicans' CPAC convention today, focusing on a subject near and dear to his own heart—his own excellence. "I'm well acquainted with winning," declared Trump, who said he'll decide by June whether to run for president. "That's what this country needs now."

The US is "missing quality leadership" and fast becoming the "laughingstock of the world," he said, according to USA Today. The Donald's speech was going over great until he started taking jabs at Ron Paul, notes the Los Angeles Times. "I like Ron Paul, but he has no chance of getting elected," said Trump, only to be met with catcalls. Paul's supporters generally make a strong showing at CPAC; they helped him win last year's straw poll.
