Apple Plans Cheaper 'iPhone Nano'

It would be $200, without contract, assuming it's actually for real

(Newser) – It's been hours since the last Apple product rumor, so here we go: The company is working on a smaller, cheaper iPhone, reports Bloomberg. This version would sell for $200—a price point that would help Apple compete better with Androids—and would not require the standard two-year service contract. The target market date for the phone, not to be confused with the expected iPhone 5 upgrade, is mid-year.

Insiders say the prototype is about one-third smaller than the iPhone 4, qualifying it to be the long-rumored "iPhone Nano." Reports of that product have been floating around for years, notes the Huffington Post. Apple also is working on what's known as dual-mode phone that would enable it to work on both the AT&T and Verizon networks. Click for more.

The reality is that this is a big rumor. Apple still have changed its strategy to develop his iOS devices and world marketting. I got a iPod years ago, very satisfy with it, although  sometimes i need to convert the unreadable video files like avi, 3gp, vob, etc. to Apple video files (mov, or mp4), still, i love it. BTW, i am using vob to mp4 converter for mac, a nice little program that can convert almost every video files to Apple readable file.

I strongly disbelieve Apple will be making a cheaper iPhone that doesn’t do anything better except have a better price for the same reason they were dissing notebooks saying they were “just cheap computers” that have no reason for being. but, in the other sides, I do hope Apple would luanched a cheap iphone. If so, I could buy one also. lol. ^.^ Indeed, I’m a movie lover, so I get most of the movies on my iPhone through ifunia iphone converter. I think other will do the same once they try it and realize it is the perfect phone:-) p.s. Apple iPhone 5: Release Date And Expected Features
