Puerto Rico-born Rep. Raul Labrador: 'I have a birth certificate'

(Newser) – Next stop on the comedy circuit, CPAC? Rep. Raul Labrador, who was born in Puerto Rico, drew guffaws and applause after whipping out a birther joke during his address yesterday, saying he was "an American citizen by birth, and I have the birth certificate to prove it." But the freshman lawmaker's jokes weren’t all of the conspiracy-theory nature: Labrador also made fun of John Boehner's remarkably tan skin, notes the Huffington Post. The party is made up of "three shades," Labrador said, and Boehner’s skin is the "fourth." (Click to read what Donald Trump said at CPAC.)

Rep. Raul Labrador must not be aware of how corrupt PR is pertaining to birth certificates.

Ironically, there are birthers who don't realize that Puerto Rico is part of the United States.
