The unrest in the Middle East has been accompanied by a surge in violence against journalists—and has claimed yet another victim. The latest is ABC's Miguel Marquez, who was beaten mid-broadcast when he was caught in the middle of Bahraini security forces' surprise attack on protesters in a square in the capitoI. He can be heard shouting "journalist!" while being attacked by men with billy clubs in an audio recording. "I just got beat—rather badly—by a gang of thugs. These guys are not screwing around," he said afterward. Click for more on Marquez, who did not sustain serious injuries. (More Bahrain stories.)
