Iran Prayer Chants Urge Opposition Leaders' Deaths

Thousands call for executions of Mousavi, Karroubi

(Newser) – During prayer services today in Tehran, thousands of worshipers chanted against two opposition leaders, the AP reports. They called for the execution of Mir Hossein Mousavi and Mahdi Karroubi following protests this week that drew tens of thousands of supporters. Karroubi was quoted last night as saying he’d accept a trial, as long as it’s open. Lawmakers have called for the two to be tried and executed; click for more.
