(Newser) – On second thought, maybe it wasn’t a great idea for Billy Ray Cyrus to blab on about how Hannah Montana ruined his family. The country musician tells People his comments in a recent GQ interview were “explosive, and unintentionally so,” and says that right now the most important thing to him is “mending my family. … We are working together to make sure our future is stronger and healthier.”

Cyrus has been spending time with estranged wife Tish and youngest daughter Noah, and asks for “privacy as we sort through very important family issues.” Click to find out who supposedly forced Cyrus to cancel his appearance on The View this week.

I didn't mean to explode on Miley in the bedroom either. Just don't tell Daddy Ray Cyrus or it would break his achy breaky heart.
