OJ Hearing Kicks Off in Vegas

Posted Nov 8, 07 3:00 PM CST in Sports US

(Newser) – OJ Simpson arrived in a Las Vegas court today to begin a two-day probable cause hearing to determine if his robbery case goes to trial. Eight witness were expected to testify against Simpson, including several who will confirm that guns were used in the Sept. 13 incident in which the ex-footballer took sports memorabilia he claimed was stolen from him, CNN reports. OJ's lawyers will not call witnesses.

Set to plead not guilty, OJ plowed through a throng to get to the courthouse; with 62 of the 100 courtroom seats reserved for media, the hearing is bound to be one of the most well-documented affairs, since, well, the last time the Juice was in court. Outside, a man in a chicken costume held up a sign that read, "OJ Is Guilty."
