Rosie Won't Gab on MSNBC

Posted Nov 8, 07 5:08 PM CST in Arts & Living

(Newser) – Talks between MSNBC and Rosie O'Donnell, the outspoken ex-host of ABC's "The View," about a potential prime-time talk show have broken down, the Los Angeles Times reports. The main point of contention was money, with O'Donnell demanding network-TV coin from the cable news station. O'Donnell confirmed that the deal was dead on her blog last night.

"msnbc one hour live following keith olbermann we were close to a deal almost done i let it slip," O'Donnell wrote—in a post entitled "the show that never was"—over a gig that would have aired weekdays at 9 p.m. EST after "Countdown With Keith Olbermann." The deal would have booted MSNBC general manager Dan Abrams' hour-long news show from that timeslot.
