Priest Stalking Conan Found Fit for Trial

Posted Nov 9, 07 4:54 PM CST in US Arts & Living

(Newser) – The Catholic priest who has allegedly been stalking Conan O'Brien was found fit for trial today and released on $2,500 bail. He left jail smiling, the Daily News reports. David Ajemian's lawyer agreed with a court-appointed psychologist's evaluation but cited his client's psychiatric history and inconsistent use of medication, which Ajemian had recently stopped taking.

"The story's going to unfold," Ajemian said as he left Manhattan Criminal Court. Since his arrest last week, details have emerged of his obsession with O'Brien, the New York Post reports. He's tracked the fellow Harvard grad across two continents and sent bizarre letters, including one in which he said he'd be at the taping of last Friday's show—where he was arrested.
