The recent events in Wisconsin are one illustration of how the wealthy control things. Now the wealthy openly own politicians and topple other politicians, according to economist Jeffrey Sachs at Columbia University. He concludes that everyone is basically in the hands of super wealthy. Republican, democrat, it does not matter any more, the income disparity from the richest to the poorest is greater that it has ever been in the history of the United States. Sachs concludes that public opinion does not matter very much when the wealthy own the government through both parties. Read the full article.
