University of Kentucky officials have launched an investigation after two signs that used a racist slur to denounce President Obama were discovered on campus. One sign was hung on a door of the law school. Another—which read "How Do You Spell N*****? OBAMA"—appeared on a campus bus shelter. The photocopied sign appeared to be made from letters cut out of a menu, says a student who saw it. A law professor said the sentiment in one of her classes was that whoever posted the signs should "get over" Obama being president.

"I think people were upset in a positive way," she told the Lexington Herald-Leader. Two men were arrested three years ago after hanging an effigy of Obama on the Kentucky campus with a noose around the neck. The sign posters could face charges of third-degree criminal mischief.
