The No. 13 Duke Blue Devils continued to beat up on early season opponents with an 86-61 rout of New Mexico State. It is their second win at home against an overmatched team, and extends their home non-conference winning streak to 53 games. Jon Scheyer had 22 points for Duke and DeMarcus Nelson added 14, reports the AP.

The Aggies, who led briefly at the outset, were paced by Justin Hawkins 16 points and 11 rebounds but found themselves down 47-26 at the half. New Mexico State couldn’t get any closer than 17 in the second half and at one point trailed 61-30. The Blue Devils were greatly aided by the 26 turnovers committed by the 0-2 Aggies.
