Why is Glenn Beck giving up his show on Fox News? The host addressed the question at the end of his show yesterday, but left his future plans something of a mystery, Mediaite notes. Beck made it clear to his viewers that he feels "we are heading for deep and treacherous waters," and he doesn't plan on going away. "I will continue to tell the story, and I’m going to be showing you other ways for us to connect," he said. "But I have other things to do."

He added: "When I took this job I didn’t take it because it was going to be a career for me. Paul Revere did not get up on the horse and say, ‘I’m going to do this for the rest of my life.’ He didn’t do it. He got off his horse at some point and fought in the revolution, and then he went back to silver-smithing.” (More Glenn Beck stories.)
