San Antonio Wins Fourth Straight

Posted Nov 14, 07 1:05 AM CST in Sports

(Newser) – The Spurs' defense held Kobe to 18 points, and the offense shone, outscoring the Lakers 107-92 for their fourth consecutive victory, AP reports. Tony Parker led the team with 26 points to go along with his nine assists, and Bruce Bowen put on a clinic, hitting 6-of-6 from three-point territory en route to a 23-point finish. In other action:

  • Philly couldn't hold on to their 50-43 halftime lead and fell to Dallas 99-84 after the Mavericks went on a 23-11 run in the third to take and hold the lead.
  • Despite Tracy McGrady's 41 points, Memphis staved off Houston 105-99, helped by eight straight free throws in the last two minutes to end the Rockets' three-game  winning streak.
