(Newser) – By the end of today, 50,000 people could be practicing how to say, "Do you want fries with that?" McDonald's began its hiring binge this morning, and is taking resumes nationwide until 5pm, reports the Chicago Tribune. Jobs range from cashiers to restaurant management—and average $8.30 an hour—as Mickey Dee's tries to give the "McJob" a makeover. I heard on the Stephanie Miller radio talk show that McDonald's does this every year. They're just making a big public relations show out of it this year because of the state of the economy and the current unemployment situation.

Must have visible tatoos, preferably on face also pieces of flair pierced through face a plus, poor personal skills and lack of grooming not a problem. No drug testing required. Poor work performance and attendance record, don't sweat it. Come on down. The only job that has more relaxed standards than this one is lawyers.
