Seattle douses Miami, Bucks edge Grizzlies, Wolves beat Kings

(Newser) – With last night's third straight win, the Hornets' have matched their franchise best start, after defeating Philadelphia 95-76. The three was the weapon of choice for New Orleans: they had 11 on the night, with Morris Peterson responsible for five of those on his way to 27 points. The 76ers have dropped four straight games. In other NBA action:

  • Seattle defeated Miami 104-95 to spoil Dwyane Wade's return, earning the first win for rookie phenom Kevin Durant
  • The Bucks survived against the Grizzlies, 102-99, Desmond Mason's jumper with seconds on the clock insuring Milwaukee remains undefeated at home
  • Rashad McCants' career high 33 points pushed Minnesota past Sacramento, 108-103, for their first win of the season.
