Donald Trump and Sarah Palin may be feeling a little sidelined by all the attention paid to this week's big story. But don't worry, guys: Jon Stewart hasn't forgotten about you. The funnyman—dismissing the first GOP debate as a "contest to determine once and for all who will come in fourth in the primaries"—checked in with absent frontrunners Trump and Palin, the "Tom Arnold and Roseanne Barr of the Republican field," on last night's Daily Show.

The thrice-married Trump said earlier this week that he's against gay marriage because he's a "traditionalist," comparing same-sex unions to a new kind of golf putter. "I think gay people and straight people use the same putters. It's really a matter of hole selection," guffawed Stewart, who noted Trump isn't too much of a traditionalist to switch partners. "The greatest thing about Trump is that he's stealing all the crazy oxygen from Sarah Palin," he added, "although she did take the debate over bin Laden's photos as an opportunity to tweet advice to the president."
