Philadelphia fell to 6-1 at home after their first shootout of the season, which was won by New York's Brendan Shanahan. The game was a wild one, with ties at 1-1, 2-2, and 3-3. Philly's Riley Cote initiated the obligatory Flyers-Rangers fight, this one with enforcer Colton Orr, who knocked Flyers tough guy Todd Fedoruk unconscious in March with a single punch.
