Mavericks Handle Spurs

Posted Nov 16, 07 5:42 AM CST in Sports

(Newser) – Anchored by superb point guard play from Devin Harris the Mavericks beat the Spurs 105-92 last night. Harris had 18 points and 5 assists and held All-Star Tony Parker to 1-11 shooting.

Mavs coach Avery Johnson realizes this team will go as far as Harris can take them. After the game he said Harris "has got to continue to grow and put together games like this over and over again. That's what we envisioned when we got together for our coaches' retreat this summer and talked about how we wanted him to play."  The Mavs are now 4-0 at home this season.
