Newt Gingrich’s presidential campaign is off to kind of an embarrassing start. The latest incident: A protester at a Minneapolis book signing yesterday dumped glitter confetti all over Gingrich and his wife. "Feel the rainbow, Newt! Stop the hate! Stop anti-gay politics!" said the man, who told reporters he was protesting a proposal to ban gay marriage in Minnesota and is thought to have disrupted two other political events in the state (one reportedly involved a bagful of pennies). Gingrich’s response as he brushed off the glitter: “Nice to live in a free country,” the AP reports.
