(NEWSER) - News that Randy "Macho Man" Savage died in a car accident age 58 has triggered plenty of nostalgic tributes:

• David Brown, Yahoo Sports : "A small part of my childhood died. ... Other than Hulk Hogan or Andre the Giant, no WWF rassler was more popular than Savage in the late 1980s," writes Brown, who also recounts Savage's four-year stint in baseball's minor leagues. Anthony Robles was born without right leg

(NEWSER) - The NCAA may be better associated with madness in March, but it was all inspiration last night as Anthony Robles, an Arizona State University wrestler born without a right leg, snagged an NCAA title in what he says is the final match of his life. The 125-pounder took a 7-1 decision from Iowa's Matt McDonough, reports AZCentral, and rose to a standing ovation. (NEWSER) - Michael Jackson died today after suffering cardiac arrest at home and arriving at the hospital in a deep coma, report TMZ and the Los Angeles Times. The King of Pop, 50, was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital this afternoon after collapsing. (NEWSER) - Legendary pro-wrestler "Killer" Kowalski, who founded a famous school for aspiring wrestlers, has died at the age of 81, reports the Boston Globe. Despite his villainous reputation in the ring, Kowalski was a religious vegetarian who enjoyed classical music, philosophy and photography. He might have remained a wrestling obscurity but for a 1954 incident when he accidentally severed an opponent's ear. More»

Coach kicks Nebraska pair off team for nude Web videos

(NEWSER) - Two University of Nebraska wrestlers have been chucked off the team after posing naked for a gay pornography site, the Omaha World-Herald reports.
