(Newser) – "Macho Man" Randy Savage, the WWF wrestler and Slim Jim spokesman, has died in a Tampa car accident, TMZ reports. The 58-year-old had a heart attack while driving, said his brother. The Jeep sped through oncoming traffic and struck a tree head-on, highway officials said. Savage died in the hospital; his wife, Lynn, who was also in the car, suffered minor injuries and was treated in a different hospital.

Savage joined the WWF in 1985, where he became known for his catchphrase: “Ohhh yeahhhh.” The following decade, he became Slim Jim’s spokesman, “virtually synonymous with the brand,” TMZ notes. Click for more on the accident.

Florida Highway Patrol report that former WWF wrestling celebrity Randy “Macho Man” Savage, 58, passed away following an automobile accident Friday in Seminole, says TMZ. A well-known WWF performer in the 1980s and 1990s, Randy Savage (born Randall Mario Poffo) reportedly had a “medical incident” while driving his Jeep Wrangler between 9:30 and 10 a.m. Friday morning which caused him to lose handle of his car. His wife Lynn, 56, sustained only minimal injuries from the passenger seat. At least his vehicle kept his wife alive, although the memories of that moment will never be forgotten. Even with a personal financing worth of therapy.
