Why bother with a baby name book when you can go straight to the Social Security Administration … via your iPhone? The SSA, of course, releases an annual list of the most popular baby names in the US, and its new (and free!) Baby Name Playroom app can suggest names for you based on the last 130 years of naming history. (Want to be trendy? The app could inform you that last year’s most popular names were Jacob and Isabella.) It will also direct you on filing for disability and acquiring a Social Security number for your little one, Time reports. (More baby name stories.)
