(Newser) – After a long day of fundraising yesterday in Chicago, Mitt Romney was ready for some of the city’s famous deep-dish pizza. But what to do with the leftovers? Seeing as how Chicago is also the home of President Obama’s reelection headquarters, the GOP hopeful decided to be generous and send the pizza over to the opposition. “Great deep dish at @ginoseast. Sending the extra slices to @barackobama and his Chicago HQ team,” Romney tweeted, along with the photo shown here. An Obama campaign source confirms to ABC News that the pies did actually arrive.

A better PR move would have been to step outside and offer the food to nearby street people. Photo op and PR bump all in one move. p.s. have they never heard of Lou Malnati's?

How nice of Mitt to Tweet his generous action so we all know how generous he is, otherwise whats the point of being generous?

So Romney comes to Chicago and gets some crappy second class stuffed pizza and thinks that he's being gracious by sending that crap to Obama's team? Please. Pizzaria Uno is the creator of deep dish pizza. Pequod's is the best deep dish pizza in Chicago. Even an easterner like me knows this.
