(Newser) – A New York man wanted for threatening the creators of South Park has been arrested in Morocco, according to the website he co-founded. Younus Mohammad is awaiting extradition to the US, the website says. A criminal complaint against Mohammad, a Muslim convert born Jesse Curtis Morton, was filed earlier this month, CNN reports.

The FBI says Mohammad issued threats over a controversial episode of South Park last year, a charge he rejects. "The case is a perfect example of the reality that touted principles like 'freedom of speech and freedom of expression' do not apply to people that seek to expose the reality of the US Empire," he tells CNN. Another man charged in the South Park case was sentenced to 25 years after pleading guilty to providing support for Somali terrorists.

The threats were sparked by a South Park episode that supposedly depicted Mohammed inside a bear suit. A follow-up episode revealed that the suit actually contained Santa Claus.

I gotta say, these 2 SP creators have some serious balls.  And, it's not like they just "focus" on one relgion; if you try hard enough to find them, you can find episodes that use almost all different religions as their primary source for humor.
