Quebec Pol Slams Visit From Royal 'Parasites'

Prince William, Kate Middleton not warmly received by Amir Khadir

(Newser) – Suffice it to say Quebec legislator Amir Khadir is not happy about the upcoming royal visit. Khadir, leader of a small left-wing party, said yesterday that taxpayers shouldn’t have to pay for Prince William’s planned summer visit with his new wife, the Duchess of Cambridge. Khadir, a self-described separatist, compared the British royal family to "parasites" in a tabloid interview, the AP reports, and the Quebec government has since demanded an apology.

Khadir isn’t backing down from his original remarks: "If this is a tourist attraction I would at least like it if the principals involved, the prince and the princess, knew it—knew that we're bringing them here a little bit like we do with circus tours," he said yesterday. Forgive me if I'm wrong but is this the father of the famous Omar Khadir from the Taliban in Guantanamo Bay, who presumes to tell the rest of  Canada that these people are parasites. He is a politician he is already a parasite. Yes they should pay for there own trip but they are only doing what every politician does so go back to your back bench seat and wait for your life time pension "that the rest of us Canadians pays" for to kick in. Thank you for your unwanted opinion.
