Weiner Won't Say If Crotch Photo Is of Him

Insists he's a 'victim of a prank'

(Newser) – Anthony Weiner gave an impassioned interview to Luke Russert of MSNBC today, insisting that he “was the victim of a prank,” and did not intend to tweet a picture of his erection to a female follower. But he also stoked the fires further by saying he couldn’t say “with certitude” whether or not the photo was of his crotch.

Asked why so many of the people he follows are attractive women, he explained that it was “fairly random,” because he generally follows anyone who asks him to. He also said that he was having a private company handle the investigation because he didn’t think it was important enough for the police. “We are not making a federal case out of this,” he said. “I’m not sure it rises—no pun intended—to that level.”

I wrongly thought, that as a relatively younger member of the political machine Weiner would have had more respect for technology, more respect for the the fact that if technology is used in a deviant manner it damns one's political career. Weiner eyed the office of NYC mayor, he was going to be a cross between Koch & Bloomberg, now...Ed Koch, Michael Bloomberg & Brett Farve
