The father of missing toddler Madeleine McCann says he thinks a "predator" was watching his family during a vacation in Portugal and snatched Maddy after seeing her parents leave their hotel for a nearby restaurant. "They've watched me go in, come back out and then they've thought, 'That's the window of opportunity to get in and get back out,'" he said on a tape made by a family friend and aired on British TV.

Gerry and Kate McCann were dining at a restaurant about 50 yards from their hotel the night their daughter disappeared. Gerry said he checked on their three young children around 9pm, but Maddy was missing when Kate returned at 10. The McCanns are considered suspects by Portuguese police.
