(NEWSER) - David Beckham will be an Angeleno for at least another couple years: The English soccer star has signed a new two-year contract with the Los Angeles Galaxy, turning down an offer from a French club in order to return to Major League Soccer. That deal, from Paris-St. Germain, was for 18 months and worth $18.7 million. His deal with the Galaxy is reportedly worth just $15 million, the Los Angeles Times reports. More»

The costume, apparently made famous in some circles by a performer named Veniamin, has, according to the eBay listing, appeared on TV shows including the Late Show With David Letterman, The View, and America’s Got Talent. Two groups are fighting back

(NEWSER) - Before you don your Halloween costume tomorrow, consider this: Is it offensive? Two groups are fighting back against costumes they consider racist or sexist:

• Ohio University's Students Teaching About Racism in Society (STARS) created a campaign with the headline, "We’re a culture, not a costume." • Pregnant Beyonce: Grab yourself a fake baby bump (unless, of course, you’re already pregnant) and a brightly-colored unitard like she wears in her “Countdown” video , then “place both hands on the bump and grin radiantly.”
• A GOP presidential candidate: You can choose any, but the Michele Bachmann costume is particularly simple: Just fashion a mask from her infamous Newsweek cover , then “walk around overly wide-eyed, like you just drank a coffeemaker.”
