Husband Skips After Winning the Lottery

Posted Nov 19, 07 6:09 PM CST in US

(Newser) – A Florida woman is suing her husband for a share of the state lottery winnings he neglected to share with her—or mention to her—before disappearing, the Miami Herald reports. Donna Campbell, an ex-model, had no idea that her airline-mechanic husband had shared a $19-million jackpot with 17 buddies from work when she found a postcard in the mail congratulating him on the purchase of his new home.

Her husband of two years, Arnim Ramdass, had carefully kept the TV off and disconnected the phones, but Google provided Campbell with the truth: he had netted $600,000 in the win. Ramdass denied it when confronted, and then vanished. ''Right now, all I want is justice,'' Campbell told the Herald. "With time, I will file for divorce.''
