(Newser) – Flight delays are peaking, and there's no sure way to dodge them. But fliers can travel smarter with this new list of best and worst airports from Travel + Leisure:

Best:

  1. Portland, Ore. (PDX)
  2. Salt Lake City (SLC)
  3. San Diego (SAN)

  1. Los Angeles (LAX)
  2. Tampa (TPA)
Worst:
  1. Chicago O'Hare (ORD)
  2. New York Kennedy (JFK)
  3. Newark (EWR)
  4. Philadelphia (PHL)
  5. Charlotte, NC (CLT)
