John Edwards’ Smiling Mug Shot Is Out

Former senator's booking photo released

(Newser) – Does that look like the face of a guilty man? Former senator John Edwards may have allegedly spent more than $1 million to hide his affair, but no cash can help him hide his mugshot—CNN obtained the photos through a Freedom of Information Act request. Edwards pleaded not guilty to conspiracy and campaign law violations after he was indicted by a grand jury over potentially misappropriated funds used to support his mistress, Rielle Hunter. A plea bargain deal with the Justice Department fell apart over Edwards' refusal to serve jail time.

You do realize that Kerry might have won in '04 without this mug as his vice-president?  Seriously, who would vote for a trial attorney?  I married one and bigger asses you will never find.  No--didn't marry one--worked and put one through law school and he's now divorced from the paralegal who snapped him from me.  Dumb ass--both of them.  Tort reform--actually, just get rid of tort.  No money for malpractice--put them in jail.  Cause if you've been harmed you know the simple thing that tort can never do--give you back what you lost.  Not money--justice.  Tort still exists cause people are greedy.  Yeah--saw it all the time: people who were quite happy to have five million dollars and a dead kid.  Remember--he doesn't get a dime till you get three dimes.  I don't understand why anyone thought Edwards would be different.

Much better headline, editors. "Innocent Until Proven Handsome" ... what does that even mean?

So the fact that he's a politician (lies with a smile) means that he's innocent? FAIL.
