(Newser) – Newt Gingrich’s campaign woes keep piling up: Now two top members of his finance team have departed. Fundraising director Jody Thomas and fundraising consultant Mary Heitman follow 16 other aides who left this month. His press chief says the campaign is "as committed as ever" and spins the departures this way to CNN: “Newt 2012 continues its reorganization to achieve a grassroots-driven, substantive-solutions-orientated campaign." The exodus began about two weeks ago.

Newt's going to give us lessons on how to spend our nation's money wisely, not foolishly on food clothing and shelter like we've been doing. If you want to end a recession, buy $2 million worth of Jewelry at Tiffany's. Guess that means he doesn't really believe in trickle down, then does he? Or does he intend on giving the entire nation Diamonds and gold. He's gonna need a bigger credit line,,,,,,

I guess no one told him that you need to be endearing and loved by more than just your wife to take off grass-roots style...you know, like President Obama.
