An Amish man's attempt to embrace new technology—and a 12-year-old girl—has landed him in court on charges of child solicitation, police in Indiana say. Willard Yoder, 26, was arrested after turning up in a horse and buggy to meet a girl whose phone he had sent hundreds of lewd images and messages to, the AP reports. The girl alerted her mother after receiving messages from Yoder, who told police he had randomly dialed the girl's number.

The mother pretended to be the girl—making sure Yoder knew she was 12 years old—and called the police after he asked her to send naked pictures. Police arranged the rendezvous and arrested him when he showed up. He admitted that he thought he was going to have sex with the girl but said he thought she was 13. "He realized it was a bad decision and had never done anything like this before," police said. (More sexting stories.)
