As New Yorkers celebrated arguably the best Gay Pride weekend of their lives, Chicago’s Pride Parade got vandalized. Tires were punctured on 51 floats overnight, including the float for openly gay state Rep. Kelly Cassidy, but many of the floats were repaired in time to join the parade by today's noon kick-off. Crowds at the 42nd annual parade weren’t discouraged. "We're not going to let a thing like this stop us," the parade coordinator told the Chicago Tribune. (More Chicago stories.)
