He's baaaaack. White supremacist David Duke is considering throwing his pointy hat into the ring for the Republican presidential nomination, according to the Daily Beast. The former Ku Klux Klan grand wizard and Louisiana lawmaker, who has been living in Europe in recent years, is reportedly planning a 25-state tour to gauge support. This would be Duke's third White House run: He ran as a Democrat in 1988 before winning the Populist Party's nomination, and he ran as a Republican in 1992.

If Duke does enter the race, he will join what is expected to be a record number of white supremacists running for office next year, the Beast reports. "We've seen increasing numbers of white supremacists and others on the radical right running for electoral office for several years now, and we likely had more in the last election than in any other in recent memory," noted a spokesman for the Southern Poverty Law Center.
