President Obama's town hall meeting via Twitter is under way here. The president is taking tweeted questions on the economy through the #AskObama hashtag, and the Washington Post has a live blog going here. Obama started things off with a tweeted question of his own: "in order to reduce the deficit,what costs would you cut and what investments would you keep - bo"

The president is answering questions that come in live as well some that were tweeted in advance. House Republicans made sure to get in on the act, notes the Huffington Post. This suggested question tweeted by John Boehner: "With 9.1% unemployment & 'shovel ready' jobs a bust, will you admit the 'stimulus' was a mistake?" (More Barack Obama Twitter stories.)
