When Charlie Sheen returns to your TV screen, he'll be playing a character originated by Jack Nicholson. His new show will be based on the Nicholson-Adam Sandler comedy Anger Management, TMZ reports, but Sheen's character won't stick strictly to that script: Instead, he'll play an ex-jock with his own anger issues who becomes an anger management counselor in the criminal justice system.

Joe Roth, who produced the 2003 film and owns the screenplay, has worked with Sheen in the past (on Major League, Young Guns, and other films) and is pushing this project forward, but the deal with Lionsgate is not quite finalized and no network has agreed to air the show yet.
