Gadhafi Threatens to Hit Europe ... Again

Moammar Gadhafi is again threatening to bring the fight to Europe with a wave of suicide bombings, reports the LA Times. "Hundreds of Libyans will martyr in Europe," said Gadhafi late Friday in a speech in Tripoli's Green Square. "I told you it is eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth." But Libyan rebels dismissed the threat. "He's just bragging," said a rebel spokesman. "If he could do it, he would have done it already without talking about it."

NATO said it yesterday destroyed a missile battery hidden in a farming complex. "By using civilian sites for military purposes, the Gadhafi regime has once again shown complete disregard for the welfare of Libyan civilians," said a NATO spokesman. A rep for the Libyan rebels said that seven rebel fighters were killed and 17 injured in fighting Friday, as pro-government forces launched a counterattack against the latest rebel push.
