Colts are Thankful for Manning's Arm

Posted Nov 23, 07 2:55 AM CST in Sports

(Newser) – After blundering their way into a 10-0 hole, the Indianapolis Colts began to look more like the team that won last year's Superbowl. Surging to three touchdowns in the second quarter to get the Falcons on the run, the injury-plagued Colts finished up with a 31-13 win over Atlanta and on-again, off-again quarterback Joey Harrington, reports the Indianapolis Star.

The Colts capitalized on turnovers, scoring 24 unanswered points to seal their victory. Peyton Manning's night just kept getting better as he moved into fifth on the all-time touchdown list, bumped up to ninth for all-time wins, and passed Johnny Unitas for the 10th-most career passing yards. His team "felt more like the Colts' offense," said tight end Ben Utecht.
