Amy Winehouse has been found dead in her London apartment, reports Sky News. "On arrival, officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene," said a police statement. It didn't name Winehouse, but authorities later confirmed she was the victim. An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow, and Scotland Yard tells TMZ there's no sign of foul play. Winehouse had battled addiction for years and recently pulled out of a European tour.

The AP has a quick obituary posted, recapping Winehouse's rise to worldwide fame with the 2006 release of her Back to Black album. She won five Grammys for it, including song and record of the year for Rehab, in which she sings about her refusal to go there. Click for more, including a link to the song's video.
